Pier W Restaurant: Where romance meets fine cuisine
From the breathtaking view to the famous bouillabaisse, it is easy to see why Pier W Restaurant is one of the busiest eateries on Cleveland's west side. Frequenters of this Lakewood establishment say their love for the maritime atmosphere and phenomenal seafood fare runs as deep as Lake Erie itself.
Opened in 1965, Pier W has been serving a contemporary seafood menu on the Cleveland’s west side for more than 30 years. The restaurant’s distinct architecture actually resembles a luxury yacht sailing quietly along the shores of the Great Lake Erie. An abundance of windows ensures that every seat in the house is the best seat in the house.
While the distinctive architecture and views are a real treat for guests, it is the flawless seafood entrees and extensive wine list that keep them coming back for more. Locals’ favorites include Pier W’s famous Bouillabaisse (which features fresh fish, clams, shrimp and mussels in a saffron-accented tomato broth with roasted garlic crostini and rouille), as well as the grilled Block Island swordfish, the Diver scallops picatta with organic spinach and the linguine fini with Manila clams, garlic, white wine, onions and olive oil.
Pier W also offers a juicy filet mignon, Berkshire pork chops and seared chicken breast with herbed butter and creamed spinach. A variety of delectable desserts, such as the Reisling-poached Granny Smith apple with pecan citrus filling and cinnamon ice cream, and the creamy vanilla bean crème brulee compliment any meal.
Be sure to visit Pier W for its famous Sunday brunch, which features an extensive buffet with delicious seafood, salads, breakfast items and a variety of side items.
Dress at Pier W is business casual and reservations are required on weekends.
